Shunsuke Kano Solo Exhibition “Mori wo mite ki ni mayou”

Subsequence

2023.06.01

Pink Shadow_92, Inkjet Print, Wood, 600x600mm (2023)

Kano’s work is a creation of complex layers that takes an object and superimposes an image of this object that is overlaid on top of the other numerous times. Each image overlaps, but the details of each layer remain separated where it creates a subtle sense of incongruity in the perception of the context of the motif as well as the structure of the entire space. It is an exhibition that makes one pause to think about the relationship between what we actually see and the world the works itself are trying to show us.
