An exhibition focusing on the career of Natsuko Yoneyama, from her occupation as a graphic and editorial designer to her work running the publisher YYY PRESS, is currently available to visit at TIGER MOUNTAIN, a bookshop in Toranomon, Tokyo.
Two years ago, Yoneyama started teaching at Seika University in Kyoto. Through engaging with her students, Yoneyama started to think about the importance of sharing her work with others. The exhibition features and has on sale a number of books, photo collections, art books, and a special book made for the exhibition, from a host of different fields—including art, fashion, and literature—that Yoneyama has done editorial design for. Lectures and live performances are also planned.
TIGER MOUNTAIN is a bookstore and gallery run by blkswn, a producer of a host of different types of content. TIGER MOUNTAIN specializes in Japanese books from the 1960s to ’90s which have splendid covers or unique editing styles. The exhibition will be sure to provide much for anyone interested in book making, book design, and editing.
