Tropical Matsumura, who also works as a writer for Subsequence, has opened Tropical Records, music and sports-related merchandise store. His collection of records, tapes, sports equipment, vintage books and clothing related to surfing, skiing, skating, Frisbee and backpacking culture from the 1960s to 1980s (Showa era) will be on display. Every week or month there are conceptual “special features”, sometimes with “museum quality” items/goods (the 2nd photo shows “photographer Shinpei Asai”!). This is an exciting store to browse.

The store is located in RIVERSIDE BASE in Takatsu, Kawasaki, and sells vintage furniture and craft beer. It also has a gallery, where local poets and floral artists hold occasional exhibitions.
