Daisuke Ninomiya, owner of fischiff KÜCHE, a café in Tokyo’s Shimotakaido, also runs the record label fischiff VERLAG. The label has just released a two-cassette tape recording of duets by saxophonist, the late Lol Coxhill, and pianist Veryan Weston, two of the UK’s leading free improvising musicians .

From 1976 to ’84, the pair lived together in Digswell House, a retreat for artists located in Welwyn Garden City to the north of London. The cassette is from their time in Digswell, capturing their concert held by the London Musicians’ Collective, a group that supported experimental music.

The cassette box set is limited to 200 copies. This special collection features a drawing by Coxhill on the box, photos of the pair, liner notes written by Weston, and an index .
