Walking Scenery Reading Performance + Talk Event: Travelers’ Homelands

Subsequence

2025.12.04

As people constantly move around the world and globalization homogenizes not only people’s daily lives but also landscapes, the Walking Scenery project seeks to explore how individuals express their love for a place and how a region’s history is carried on and shared. In 2025, Natsumi Seo headed to Busan, Wen Yuju headed to Taipei, and Bak Solmay headed to Tokyo and Niigata.

This event will feature a reading performance based on the three travelers’ research as well as a slideshow of photos of their travels by photographer Eisuke Asaoka. They will also invite translator and researcher of Black theology Sora Enomoto to talk around the theme of “travelers’ homelands.”

Date: December 6, 2025, 17:00-19:30 (Doors open at 16:30. The venue will remain open for networking until 20:00)
Venue: Goldwin Head Office, 1F (Seihou Building, 3-5-6, Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo 107-8570)
