Commemorative Talk Event Announcement for the publishing of Subsequence vol.7 

Kosuke Ide x Kazuto Kobayashi 
“The intersection of everyday life and perspective woven by memories” 

A talk event will be held at “Shibuya Publishing & Booksellers” a bookstore in the Shibuya area of Tokyo, with Editor in Chief, Kosuke Ide making an appearance.  The other guest will be Kazuto Kobayashi, owner of “Roundabout/outbound” a shop selling household goods from Japan and abroad.  Kobayashi is known for directing exhibitions and styling venues from his own unique perspective.  We will take this opportunity to explore the daily thinking of these two individuals and their endeavors through their respective “platforms” of creating, which takes shape in the form of a magazine and building out a store.  

A comment from Ide:
It’s been a quarter of a century since “Roundabout” opened in the Kichijoji area of Tokyo in 1999.  During a time when there were far fewer stores compared to now that sold things personally curated by young independent owners, Kazuto Kobayashi quietly started his work with a certain ease and even though we are the same age he is someone I look up to with much respect for his independent spirit.  I hope to have a great conversation about creating and thinking in this era of society with Mr. Kobayashi, who always treats me like a close friend of his whenever we see each other.
