To celebrate the publication of Subsequence the magazine vol. 8, we will be hosting a “Subsequence Salon” event at the VISVIM GALLERY / VISVIM GENERAL STORE in the Naka Meguro area of Tokyo.

“Subsequence Salon” is a pop-up gallery that exhibits and sells arts and crafts from all over the world, past and present, specially curated by Subsequence magazine.  For this special occasion as an homage to the rich magazine culture that flourished in Japan during the 20^th century, we have selected from the vast collection of magazines that our Editor in Chief, Kosuke Ide has collected over many years.  We will be presenting an exclusive limited time library that will feature a selection of vintage Japanese magazines, ranging from those over 100 years old to others dating back to the 1990’s.

More than 100 magazines spanning across all genres will be on exhibit to provide a space where one will be able to actually pick up and read the magazines.  It is our hope to create an opportunity to reconsider what it means “to make a magazine” from the records of “Capturing the Moment”.
In addition, the latest issue of the magazine will be available for sale at the venue, alongside some other official merchandise.
