Yuri Shibuya “Idyllic Moment”

Subsequence

2025.04.21

A photography exhibition by Yuri Shibuya, a photographer whose work has been featured in Subsequence, is currently ongoing at THE NORTH FACE STANDARD in Kyoto and Futakotamagawa, Tokyo. In 2013, Shibuya moved to Berkley, California, and over a decade spent many months of each year photographing the community of climbers, many of whom are her friends, and the rockfaces they climb at Yosemite National Park. These photographs capture these portraits and landscape scenes in beautiful black and white.
