A photography exhibition by Mai Kise, a photographer who has contributed to Subsequence, is currently open at HIKE in Higashiyama, Meguro, Tokyo.

The title of the exhibition, “distracted driving”, is a metaphor for Kise’s own curiosity which refuses to sit still. On display is a collection photographs which records a visual memory of Kise’s movements through the US, India, Nepal, Georgia, Iceland, Rwanda, and other countries.

A group exhibition is also being held at TOKYO PERIFERIA two weeks before this, featuring the works by photographers who print at Darkroom B5—a darkroom run by photographer Gentaro Ishizuka whose Gold Rush Diary is serialized in Subsequence. We hope you attend both events.
