Tracing the Earth’s Crust, a collaborative exhibition between climate artist Mariyo Yagi and Yuna Yagi, an artist whose works are based around photographs, is currently running at Pola Museum Annex. Works of art that express the changing tangibility of iron depending on how it’s used; image-based pieces that seem to capture the very essence of light. The pair’s works take in these two natural elements—of light and of iron—and are an attempt to pair the natural world with the city. The exhibition is an exciting interplay between the strength and quiet presence of materials and of images.
